Mike Dwyer
President/CEO & ISA Certified Arborist
Mike Dwyer, co-founder of COVA Tree, grew up surrounded by trees on a small farm in rural Virginia — planting, caring for, and learning from them from an early age. Helping raise and plant trees with his family — and later experiencing their unexpected loss — shaped a deep respect for how much trees depend on proper care.
Together, Mike and his wife Joni built COVA Tree from a shared appreciation for the life in trees. Today, Mike leads the company with a focus on long-term care, attention, and respect for each tree. The name COVA reflects those roots, combining Colorado (CO) and Virginia (VA) — where their connection to trees first began.
